Course
Objectives:
Students will
- Develop
skills in painting and create an acrylic painting from start to finish.
- Be
encougeaged in personal expression to create a unique style in painting.
- Create
a fun personal experience by painting on the scene in nature.
Enrollment:
Please Call or email your instructor. Class is limited to 10 students.
Tuition: Total cost for each painting session is due
at the beginning of class.
Each day class is $100.00 plus a material fee of $25.00.
Materials:
All materials including Acrylic paint, canvas and brushes are supplied.
Extra
fees not included: Park or Museum fees are the responsibility
of the student.
Note:
Students have the option to attend a one-day session or as many class
sessions as they desire.
Weather
Considerations: If there’s a light rain we will paint,
if there’s a lot of rain class will be canceled. Make up painting
sessions will begin in Nov.
The
Learning Process: Painting skills will be introduced through
teacher demonstration and student practice. The teacher, Meg Davis will
paint on her own canvas to give students a visual demonstration and will
guide students, as support is needed. Students will focus on modeling
the painting behavior in their own works of art and will be able to witness
the process as the teacher creates along side of the class.

1: Saturday, September 29th,Project: Luckenbach Painting.
Class will meet from 11:00 to 2:00,at the picnic table in front of the
general store in Luckenbach, Texas. This project is fun because of the
people, music and there’s great energy in the environment. For directions

2: Sunday, September 30th, Project: Luckenbach Painting.
Class will meet from 11:00 to 2:00,at the picnic table in front of the
general store in Luckenbach, Texas. This project is fun because of the

Session
3 and 4: Saturday and Sunday, October 6th and 7th.Project: Enchanted Rock
Painting, Fredericksburg Texas.
Class will meet from 10:00 to 1:00 at an arranged meeting place, Saturday
and Sunday. The butterflies are migrating and can be seen here at this
time. It’s $6 per person to get in the park on a day pass.

Session 5: Saturday, Oct.13th, Project: The McNay Museum Garden
Painting, in San Antonio Texas.
Students will meet from 10:00 to 1:00 at the Mcnay Art Museum in San Antonio
.To go inside the museum they ask only for a small donation. The garden
is magical and the painting experience at the Mcnay Museum is very peaceful.

6: Sunday, Oct 14, Project: Butterfly migration Painting. Wild Seed farms,
Fredericksburg, Texas.
Students will meet from 10:00 to 1:00 at the entrance of the flower fields
at Wild Seed Farms. Students will paint on the scene in an abundance of

7: Saturday Oct 20th: Project: Sand Castle Paintings! South Padre Island,
Texas.

Painting students will meet at 8:00 to 11:00 at the Sheraton Hotel on
the beach. Students will paint the World Master Sand Castle Artists as
they work creating sand castle sculptures. For directions or reservations

Session
8: Sunday, Oct 21st: Project: Pet portraits on the Beach, Painting. South
Padre Island.
Students will meet from 10:00 to 1:00 at the covered picnic tables at
the Dolphin Cove Oyster Bar and may bring their favorite pet to include
into their beach painting. Note: Dolphin Cove Oyster Bar is not open until
12:00 on Sundays, however our painting class has permission to work there,
so be on the lookout for our group, in front of the establishment facing

9: Saturday and Sunday, Oct 27, 28th, Project-Maple Leafs are Changing
Painting!
Students will meet Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 2:00, at Lost Maples
National park in Vanderpool, Texas. For our class meeting spot please
contact your instructor, Meg Davis. A Daytime park pass is $6 per person.

10: Saturday, November 3, Project: Pet portraits and the old L.B.J. Settlement
Painting, in Johnson City, Texas.
Class will meet from 10:00 to 1:00, at the LBJ settlement park, at the
original home of LBJ great grandparents. If you bring a pet with you please
have them on a leash, as the long horns can be dangerous. For directions

Provisions:
Everything is optional. Sunscreen, cooler, Bug spray, Swimsuit, Happy
camper chair, Guitar, Umbrella, Blanket to paint on, An Easel, Camera,
Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, If you would like to bring

of the location where we will working.
